“My name is Jemima Mugume, daughter to James and Lorna Magara, and wife to Roy Jonathan Mugume. Eva is the definition of my sister from another mother and one of my best friends! We’ve grown up in each others homes from birth, and our parents have been close friends since high school. Fun fact: Aunty Florence (Eva’s mom) was me and my sibling’s paediatrician growing up! So we’ve really been in each others lives from the jump. It’s amazing to know that this will be a multigenerational friendship! Family ties for life.”

I met Imma before I met Eva. One of the first things he said to me was, “I’m marrying this girl called Eva.” This was a good 7+ years ago. I remember thinking who is Eva? Where is Eva? Later on, I met Eva at Brunch and after discovering that we look a little alike, it was unbeknownst to me that this was the beginning of a beautiful friendship.

We definitely enjoyed our time in London together which really solidified our friendship. I honestly can’t imagine my life without Eva now. She’s been my rock ever since we both moved back to Uganda around the same time (twins fr). From Bugolobi to Imperial Wharf and back again, we have enjoyed years of love and laughter. Eva is one of the most resilient, smart, ambitious and genuinely caring people I have ever met.

Eva and Imma were actually among the first people to meet my son after I gave birth and I cherish that forever. I’m honoured to be a part of the bridal squad and wish Eva & Imma a lifetime of happiness. You deserve it, sis!

Eva was a friend even before we officially became friends. We shared mutual besties, so it was only a matter of time before our paths crossed. Our reciprocal ease and shared laughter ignited an instant connection. From tea tastings turned Buju concerts, to Friendsgiving microwave disasters, we’ve shared countless adventures filled with laughter and pure love. Eva has an infectious spirit and genuine warmth, making her a beacon of positivity in all settings. As I reflect on our journey together, it’s clear that Imma and Eva embody the essence of true love and friendship – loving, loyal, caring, and always ready for an adventure. So, let’s raise a glass to the gorgeous couple and the radiant presence I’m honoured to have by Evelyn’s side on her wedding day!

I’ve known Eva for EVA! I think the first time we met was in primary school at the age of 8 and we have moved across the world together from Uganda to Kenya, to Southern Africa, the UK and now back home. During these 20-something years, we’ve shared countless memories.
Evelyn is a friend who’s always there and down for a good time. I can literally call her anytime and she’ll be out! but at the same time graciously listen to you complain about the same things over and over ❤.
I remember being age 13/14 and Eva always had the latest music on her iPod shuffle, already knew how to put on make-up, and dressed up so well and I was like “ eh, she is such a cool chick” and she still is!
We’ve shared so many milestones together and I’m so glad I get to be there for this one.

“I’ve known Eva since 2009 when dress tops and tights were a thing lol. When I look back on some of my happiest memories and milestones over the past couple of years, Eva has been present in almost every single one, either physically with me or as a support system that was always a phone call away. 15 years of friendship and throughout that time, she’s been the greatest friend, sister and a blessing in my life.

I had the pleasure of first meeting Eva in 2017 at a friend’s trip to Fort Portal that Jemima organized. We remained mutuals from then and it wasn’t till 2022 when Eva and I’s relationship really blossomed. We both coincidentally were newly settling back in Kampala at the time. Her & I keep saying till date that it feels like we have been friends in another lifetime. When we connected, we clicked in a lot of ways. Our personalities aligned well, similar interests, great energy, shared love for God, workout buddies etc. Eva has truly been such a light, love and warmth in my life. I thank & bless the lord for who she is, for her friendship and sisterhood to me. My heart is full knowing she is marrying the absolute love of her life. I adore Eva & Imma’s relationship. I first met Eva in primary school but it was only until we became roommates in high school that we really bonded – sometimes we were besties, and sometimes we fought teenage battles but at all times, we were sisters who had so much love for each other.

I vividly remember when Eva and Imma first struck up their friendship. Eva tried to play it cool, but it was impossible to miss the sheer excitement radiating from her. Her happiness was so palpable that, even then, I felt as if I could have predicted this very wedding.
