General Information
VISAS:
Uganda has two visa tourist options (single and multiple entries) which are granted to travelers coming to Uganda for tourism, medical treatment, family visit, etc. a single- entry visa can be granted for up to 3 months at a cost of USD 100
MEDICAL:
There are several hospitals in Kampala such as Medipal Hospital in Kololo, UMC Victoria in Bukoto, and Nakeerso Hospital that we recommend for any medical consultations.
VACCINES:

MALARIA:
CDC recommends that travelers going to Uganda take prescription medicine to prevent malaria. Depending on the medicine you take, you will need to start taking this medicine multiple days before your trip, as well as during and after your trip.
SAFETY:
Uganda is one of the safest and friendliest countries in the world. However, petty crime is present, and it is advised not to leave valuables in your car. Wearing jewellery, watches, and expensive clothes is absolutely fine and much safer than doing so in some parts of the US and UK, however, if you leave them in your hotel, it shouldn’t be a surprise if a low-wage worker takes advantage.
UGANDAN PEOPLE:
Ugandans are the friendliest people in the world. Almost all will be genuinely pleased to meet you.
WEATHER:
In May, Uganda experiences transitional weather with mild temperatures and decreasing rainfall. Daytime temperatures range from 25 to 30°C, while cooler evenings prevail. Occasional showers and thunderstorms are possible, especially in the afternoons. Despite the changing weather, May remains a favorable time for outdoor activities and exploring Uganda’s diverse landscapes.
