This airport handles both International and domestic carriers. Public taxis and buses operate on set routes throughout the city. Buses can be boarded at their respective bus parks and tickets are purchased on boarding.
Kampala is the centre of Uganda’s extensive bus and taxi network, with many taxi associations and bus companies operating to and from destinations throughout the country. Public taxi hires ply on the main roads from the hotel directly into the city centre which is about 2.5 km. Walking around Kampala is relatively straightforward, as the city centre is small and accessible. In some areas there can be a security risk while walking, and it’s best to seek advice from the hotel before setting out. Taxis are widely available and convenient.
Kampala taxis are usually marked with blue line along its side. Eat it is recommended to book your taxi through that hotel travel desk.
